Circulatory Problems
Good circulation is essential for tissue health and healing. Conditions such as peripheral artery disease (PAD) can reduce blood flow to the feet and increase the risk of slow-healing wounds, cold feet, cramping or pain when walking. People with diabetes are at particular risk. Early detection and management of circulatory issues can reduce the likelihood of serious complications.
How we can help
We will carry out a vascular assessment, which includes checking pulses and performing an ankle-brachial pressure index (ABPI) test. We may use Doppler ultrasound to evaluate blood flow. If we detect reduced circulation or irregularities, we will refer you to your GP for further investigation. We can also provide wound care, pressure offloading and preventative strategies to support foot health.
