Corns & calluses

Feet are subject to high levels of pressure, every step we take. Corns and calluses occur as a reaction of the skin to the pressures on it, whether from footwear or for a structural or functional reason. Some skin types are more prone to callus build up. Corns can become deep and painful and, if left, can result in ulceration.

How we can help

See your podiatrist to have your corns and calluses painlessly removed. More importantly, we can give you advice or provide treatment to target the cause and aim to prevent further recurrence.

This may include checking your shoe size, or providing you with functional orthoses to realign your feet. If your skin is very dry, using a good, foot-specific emollient will help. A longer term solution can be found in Curacorn®. Curacorn® is a revolutionary technique which uses a sterile gel injection to cushion painful corns or pressure areas in the foot. It is a quick, safe and effective treatment for longstanding, deep or painful corns.
