Bunions

A bunion, also known as “hallux valgus” is forms as the big toe moves out of position, creating a prominent painful big toe joint.

The formation of a bunion is often due to a number of factors including foot structure, stresses on the foot and footwear.

We will look at the likely cause of your bunion and address the aggravating factors, using exercise, orthoses or night splints. Although bunions can only be reversed with surgery, these will often help with pain and slowing down the deformity.
